Welcome to my site! I’ll start off by saying that I’m not a professional audio engineer. However, I’ve been playing guitar for over 20 years and have been recording music for just about as long. The main reason for creating this site is to help beginners, young musicians, and bedroom producers learn how to start recording, and to make their own recordings sound even better.
While I’ve got some work ahead of me to add more content to the site, this blog will hopefully grow to become a great resource for musicians and recording enthusiasts.
I might throw in a few guitar articles and videos too, although I’ll try to only add helpful and original ideas since there are about 8 million other people who already do this, with varying levels of quality. (P.S. – if you are looking to learn guitar from scratch, I would highly recommend justinguitar.com – I am not affiliated with this guy in any way, but his tutorials are great and this is perhaps one of the best places on the internet to learn guitar from scratch.)
If you have a project that you could use some help with, please contact me! You can email mike@homerecordinglab.com or from my contact page. If I like your music, I’d be happy to figure out a way to work with you. This goes for mixing, or writing and recording guitar or bass parts – if I can help out or come up with some catchy parts, I’d be happy to help out.
So, thanks for checking out the site, and feel free to contact me if you have any questions or if you’d like to work together. Cheers!
